ELISA OVERALL represents clients on appeal and in postconviction proceedings.
Elisa earned her B.A. from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. While studying at the University of Denver, Elisa represented clients in eviction proceedings and protection orders as a Student Attorney. She also interned at the Colorado Court of Appeals for the Honorable Judge Robert D. Hawthorne.
Prior to her career in law, Elisa lived in southwest Colorado and worked on a range of public interest issues. She helped launch a non-profit for the promotion of immigrant rights, served as Executive Director of a federal grant to ensure equity in access to health services for San Miguel County youth, and worked closely with community stakeholders to ensure Latino-inclusive policies and legislation.
Elisa is originally from Tucson, Arizona. She grew up in a Mexican-American household, and is a native Spanish speaker. She is also fluent in Portuguese and conversational in French.
