NICHOLAS BATTEY is an associate at the Noble Law Firm and represents clients on appeal and in postconviction proceedings.
Prior to joining the Noble Law Firm, Nick clerked at the Colorado Court of Appeals for the Honorable Judge Robert Hawthorne where he drafted dozens of criminal and postconviction appeals. He gained valuable skills in identifying trial and appellate errors and tailoring arguments to achieve the most successful results for clients in postconviction and appellate proceedings. Before clerking, Nick worked for a trial criminal defense firm, the Eichner Law Firm, where he focused on motions practice and litigation preparation. Before moving to Colorado, Nick practiced complex civil litigation and patent prosecution at an intellectual property firm in Chicago representing Fortune 500 companies and small businesses.
Nick received his law degree from the University of Illinois, magna cum laude, was a published member of the Illinois Law Review, and was president of the law school’s American Civil Liberties Union chapter.
